The Best Satellite Dish

Long gone are the days of seeing those monstrous 10 foot wide satellite tv dishes mounted in back yards accross America. Actually, they pretty much WERE the whole back yard.

These days you can still see plenty of satellite tv dishes but for the most part, they are mounted on the sides or on the roof of the home that their owners live in. Sometimes (about half the time) these dishes aren't even owned at all. They are leased instead.

So where do you find the best satellite tv dish?

The fact that there are basically just two choices makes this investigation a little bit more easy. You can choose the Dish Network dish or the Directv dish. However, upon closer inspection, it is fairly obvious that these two satellite tv dishes are basically identical.

So, the difference is actually in the service rather than the hardware. Dish Network and Directv also offer fairly similar services. There are a few subtle differences so you will want to do your homework before making your decision. But the good news is that these satellite tv dishes and services are so similar that it will be very difficult for you to make a big mistake when you go to choose the best satellite dish.

Satellite Dish Deals

Getting the best satellite dish deals does not always mean getting the cheapest prices for your programming and it does not mean paying the lowest prices for your satellite tv equipment.

Basically all of the free satellite dish deals are equal. You get a free dish and standard satellite equipment, including receivers and remote controls, for up to four rooms in your home. Most of the time free standard professional installation is included as well. You might also find offers for a free DVR or HDTV upgrade.

When you choose a satellite dish provider you should really consider the programming packages that are offered along with the equipment. You should look for programming packages that include the channels that you watch the most.
